Here’s a reminder that you are invited to a gathering at Shaws Booksellers, the bookshop opposite the old office in St Andrew’s Hill – now a pleasant bar.
We will gather from 12.30pm on Wednesday 4 December – coincidentally the 233rd anniversary of the first issue of the Observer.
Please do try to come if you can. We had a lot of fun last year, catching up with folk we hadn’t seen for years. Food will be available to purchase.
And, my goodness, it might just be the first day that Observer and Guardian staff go on strike over the proposed sale of the paper. No doubt, negotiations continue. Much to talk about.
Best wishes,
Stephen
