David Simpson: Educated at Morgan Academy, Dundee and the University of Aberdeen.Worked briefly for the University of Aberdeen then as financial journalist from 1974 to 1988.Positions included The Guardian (City Correspondent and Industrial Correspondent) and The Observer (Industrial Editor and Deputy Editor, Business News).From 1988 until April 1995, he was head of the Public Relations Division of Dewe Rogerson. Joined Ludgate Communications as Chief Executive in April 1995, became Deputy Chairman in 1997, he joined Square Mile Communications on 1 June 2000, as a Director. David died on August 7, 2015, after a long illness. He was 65.
